I was trying to make some new bioms for the nether & was wondering how to fix water problems. I thought it would be cool to have dripstone caves in the nether & I like how they look but I can't seem to remove the water or replace it with something fitting. is there a way to make new bioms that will never have water in them? So they fit better with the nether? or is there a way to test for water as new chunks load in for the nether & spawn something in place of it, with out something running too often that it may risk lag on the game. Something simple I can add to the biom that will remove the water & not run with every block you place or too often but once when that chunk loads in.
You could make the biome custom, or you could make an invisible block that generates and works like a sponge, but with a wider radius. You could also make it so that when the player enters the biome, they get a potion effect that scans for water and fills it with air.
