license question
Wed, 08/04/2021 - 21:56 (edited)

Anyone knows what do I need to do exactly to make sure the license I choose is applied to my mod ?

Settings ? adding files ?

Also, are things created such as characters and universes belonging to the creator or mcreator ?

Help would be greatly appreciated

Don't count on me with that,…

Don't count on me with that, but here I can say what I assume it is:

1) license is under "workspace settings", it should be on 2021.1 version at least, because I don't see that on 2020.5 (but I'm using outdated version, don't mind me :P)
It is on the very top, on "workspace" tab.

2) I believe what you created belongs to you (this way you can even set "All Rights Reserved" license), except for code and software you made it on. Of course, taking that it's still Minecraft mod, these rights are split between creator, Pylo and Mojang/Microsoft, but the features you added and - especially - models/textures you made, are most definitely yours.
Although as I said, don't count on me with that, because I'm pretty bad at license knowledge.
