About the plugin

GeckoLib support for MCreator is back! Now more powerful than ever, GeckoLib allows you to animate your entity, block, armor and item models using smooth keyframe animations made with blockbench. This plugin implements an easy to use method of applying those animations and models in only a few simple steps!

The java plugins feature needs to be enabled as this is a java plugin

-This plugin is not maintained or supported by the the creators of  GeckoLib.

As I am currently serving in the military, I have little time to test and update the plugin, so expect to encounter bugs. I will eventually fix them, but don't count on a specific timeline. However, you are making it harder on yourself by not using my issue tracker and expecting me to read every comment here to see if anyone is encountering issues every time I release a new version.

Comments

Hello author, I would like to take one texture from this plugin, but I don’t know how, please (can you help me get the texture, model and animation). I'm just making my first mod and it's very difficult for me to draw, animate and write a procedure, can you help? (Sorry for my English, I translated via Google Translate, I'm from Ukraine)

I studied more about the problem associated with mob heads on the latest versions of the game. Apparently it is more connected with the X axis. For some reason, rotation in mob animations along this axis stops working if the entity has “head movement animation” activated. I also noticed that now if the model group is not named “head” then the motion animation is no longer applied to it. In any case, thank you for your plugin, without it my mods wouldn’t have the look they have now, and don’t think that I’m somehow picking on your work. I understand how little time you may now have for all this and I appreciate that you manage to do such work.

Reading some comments, some people don't appreciate and realize how gteat this plugin is, Id dare say it's basically the best mcreator plugin to date and thr most "essential" due to mcreator's limited animation system.
Thank you for your lovely work Nerdy, this is truly great!

I 100% agree, your plugins are amazing!
Oh yeah btw when it comes to your Configuration plugin would you mind uploading the source code of it to like Github or similar as it's a Java one it's pretty difficult to try to port myself with the whole decompiling process and as I know you have some other more important stuff to deal with right now I kinda wanted to give it a shot, cheers :D

guys, please help. for many days I have been trying to figure out how to add a running animation to the entity. But nothing.(

I noticed one problem, if the entity has head rotation set, then if at this time an idle animation or death animation is played in which there is head rotation, then the preset head movement function will interrupt the head rotation in the animation. Simply put, if in the death animation a mob’s head flies off rotating, then when the head movement function is set, the mob’s head will fly off statically without using animation. This problem is only present on 1.19.4 - 1.20.1, and I don't know if this is related to the latest versions of Gekkolib or is it a plugin issue. Also, invisible mobs have luminous elements that are no longer visible on new versions of the game.

Hey , is the mineable tag fixed for a version before 1.20.1 or do i need to do something to fix it? I downloaded the latest version of the plugin (v4.9) but it still seems to only register geckolib blocks.

why is it that when my mob attacks, it reproduces an endless repetition of the attack animation

@NerdyPuzzle Please tell my why it crashes when i try to spawn my mob in a world. Am i missing some other plugin or is it some kind of bug with the newer versions? Please help. and don't just tell me something generic like "There is no problem" or "There's nothing wrong with the plugin". Actually tell me if there is something wrong.

Hey, can you update your tooltips for 2023.3?
Literally no other way to get tooltips for that version.
Kinda missing them.
